Puppies

I will be working with the 4 pups I kept from the litter to get them ready to show.  There are no plans for another litter, at this time. 


Shania gave us a beautiful litter of seven on April 9, 2009.  The sire is Liam Rings My Bell.  Pictures will be ready soon.   We have one blue merle bitch, 2 blue merle males, 2 black/tri bitches, and 2 black/tri males.  They are developing beautifully.  It will be difficult to select only 2 to keep. 



The pups were raised in my bedroom until about 3.5 weeks.  Then they were moved to the kitchen/diningroom to get more interaction with family and visitors. By 6 weeks they were introduced to the outdoors and steps. Then  they  learned to accept a crate for the night and travel.

The pups had their eye checks on May 23 rd.  ALL NORMAL.  .


June 1st the pups made a visit to the vet for their first shots.  All got an excellent report of good health.  They boys learned they all have their "family jewels".  They also started taking Interceptor for heartworm protection.


The results of the genetic tests on the individial pups is back.  The results are as expected, GREAT.

The pups had their second shots July 2, 2009.

          The Future for the new pups

The four pups I've selected to stay at Dixdlor have their permanent AKC and UKC registrations.

Tank and Face attended the fall/winter conformation classes.  We will be working hard to make up for the time lost during my husbands treatments.  We miss him very much.
